An ode to

She points to dirt
And puddles and clouds
And death on the
Side of the road
And leaves
–Here it is–
Not empathy exactly but
A picture for you
Her heart tied up in
What is all around
Vortices of red and yellow
Like this above and higher
It is both a feeling and
A fleeing
It grazes your heart and leaves
You tongue-tied in this presence
This is her blessing
–Her curse–
This tousled bouquet of
Wild daisies
She brought you
