The preferred option

She was livid, high.
Rage made her fearless.
Poured over her panic
It melted it
Like hydrochloric acid
On the skin of a
Caged animal.
It annealed her,
Kept her whole
Even as the memory
Would have otherwise
Liquefied.
She could feel herself
Evaporating
As she spent it.
But the seeds had sprouted,
Her supply now endless.
Spitting glass shards
Was the preferred option.
